Since 1986, Berry Petroleum Company has been awarding college scholarships to local graduating high school students. Berry is proud to be one of many local businesses and organizations that recognize graduates from area high schools each year. Berry has made funds available (generally $1,500 scholarships) annually for this purpose to be given to qualified and deserving students.
Purpose: The Berry Petroleum Company Scholarship is to provide educational assistance to a graduating senior planning to pursue either a two year associate degree or a four year academic degree at an accredited college or university.
Criteria: Consideration will be given to academic achievement (minimum 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale) and for participation in extra-curricular activities sponsored by the school or benefiting the community. The applicant must demonstrate a high degree of motivation and desire to achieve their academic goals.
Eligibility: Any graduating senior of a high school located in an area where Berry maintains an operating presence and who meets the above requirements will be eligible. Recipients will be selected by representatives of Berry Petroleum Company.
